How to move across the country in your early 20's...

| How to actually push yourself to your dreams and accept the next wave of life in your twenties.

How did I get there? Well, it starts with setting a goal and mapping out a path to get there. Simple I know… but people still ask me how I did it?! Here is a quick read on how I did it.

Be selfish That is my biggest tip to you. What are YOUR biggest must-haves and inspirations? Where will YOU feel like the best version of yourself? A lot of the times we respect our loved ones so much we let their opinions of places affect our thought process when deciding to leave the nest. No parent is going to want their kid to move across the country or on the opposite side of the world, and that is totally normal. Your parents love you and want to be with you, but at the same time, this is your ONE LIFE. You only get one chance at it, so if you have an itch to move to Miami, Florida and see if you can make it out there then go. If you have an itch to move to Paris, France and see if you can make it out there then GO! But lord have mercy do NOT sit at home or stay in your comfortable space because you feel your family will hate you or be upset with your decision, once they see how happy you are… they will understand.

Do your Research Let’s start from the beginning, picking your location. This is the best part of the whole process is searching for your prime real estate. Be selfish in this search. Know where you will thrive and where you should work up to. Make a plan and goal map in chunks of 2 years. TRUST me this will help you see your purpose easily and enable you to navigate precisely.

DO THE DAMN THING There is no good time to pack up and leave family/hometown comfort. There is no good time to “save up enough money so you can actually do it.” The key is to MOVE and ADAPT. Trust me, by throwing yourself head-first into your dream life you will see how quickly your reality adapts.
